Today I took a drive out to Castelgar and back. The day was a gray one with low clouds, rain and avalanches.
Heading out the crews were busy but we never had to stop. Some of the snow had spilled onto the road and the other side was completely covered in places. On the way back we had to stop for over an hour for avalanche control to clear the way.
As we came around the curve above Christina Lake the view was beautiful: the lake surface was rapidly wetting ice and most of the lake was shrouded in cloud … from our vantage point we could see the cloud and above it.
So I shot a
